DDI launch new webinar series

Virtual panel discussion

“The role of data and data innovation in the recovery from Covid-19”

Wednesday Jul 1st | 12:45- 13:30 (GMT)

Data-Driven Innovation (DDI) and guests discuss the vital role of data and data innovation in the recovery from Covid-19. Experts from the public and private sector join university researchers looking at specific aspects of how data can help us shape a brighter future. Key issues for the discussion include:

What has Covid demonstrated about the strength (or otherwise) of data recording, storage, analysis – and how data is put to practical use?

How effectively have public bodies in Edinburgh and South East Scotland cooperated on data sharing during the crisis?

What examples of data innovation have come to the fore as a result of Covid-19?

How important is making decisions based on live data?

Does the need for speed mean we sometimes lose sight of ethics and rights?
